Racer Golf Has Success At Kentucky Women's Open

The Murray State women's golf team had good representation from future, former and current players at the Kentucky Open played at Oxmoor Country Club in Louisville (July 10-11).

Former Racer Megan McKinney (Louisville, Ky.) led the way with a 15^th place finish in the field of 51 players with scores of 74-77=151, while incoming Freshman Jackie Van Meter (Bowling Green, Ky.) turned in a 21^st place finish after rounds of 74-80=154.

Other Racers in the field included incoming freshman Sydney Trimble (Paducah, Ky.) with a 26^th place showing after scores of 82-75=157 and junior Gina Nuzzo (Louisville, Ky.) had a 28th place showing with rounds of 80-78=158.

Sophomore Abbi Stamper (Frankfort, Ky.) had scores of 77-88=165 which earned a spot in 39^th place and incoming freshman Leah Judd (Greensburg, Ky.) placed 40^th with scores 82-84=166.
