Soccer Closes Out Pre-Season At Home on Tuesday

The Murray State women's soccer team will play its final exhibition match of 2013 on Tuesday when it plays host to Division II Southern Indiana at Cutchin Field.
The Racers will enter Tuesday's match after a highly successful exhibition win at Chattanooga on Saturday. MSU battled back from an early 1-0 deficit to win the match, 3-1.Â
Julie Mooney and Lauren Frazier each notched goals in the contest, while Tasha Merritt set up the game tying goal with a free kick that led to an own goal. Freshman goalkeeper Savannah Haberman also impressed in the game by keeping the score at 3-1 when she saved a penalty kick late in the match.
The exhibition will be the first of the season for Southern Indiana. The Screaming Eagles will close out their preseason on Saturday when they travel to Indiana Wesleyan.Â
