Haberman Named First OVC Goalkeeper of the Week of 2013

Freshman Savannah Haberman of the Murray State women's soccer team was named as the first adidas® OVC Goalkeeper of the Week of the 2013 season, the league office announced on Tuesday.
The true freshman from Rineyville, Ky., got her collegiate career off to a great start last weekend by posting two clean sheets over a 1-0-1 week for the Racers. She notched four saves over 90 minutes in the win over Evansville and six saves in 110 minutes in the tie at Northern Kentucky. Haberman now joins a growing trend in OVC Goalkeepers of Week, marking the fourth freshman in the last five years to win the award for the opening weekend.
This week, Haberman and the rest of the Racers will split time on the road and at home. On Friday, MSU will travel to Huntsville to take on Alabama A&M, followed by the regular-season home opener on Sunday against UALR at Cutchin Field.
