The Murray State baseball team took part in a Racer Challenge all week long. Each day the student-athletes competed against each other to help their team be the Challenge victors.
The teams were broken down into Navy, Gold, White, and Grey, while the 31 student-athletes were all assigned to teams. Most of the events took place outside on the football field at Roy Stewart Stadium. Some of the outdoor events included an obstacle course, tug of war, tire flip, sled push and pull, stadium sprints, and a stadium relay. Another event was at the pool where the athletes had to tred water, followed by a team relay event. One day was going into the weight room and doing reps with weights along with doing pull ups.Â
The Navy team finished in first place with 913 points, followed by White with 879 points. Third place went to the Gold team with 810 points, and finally Grey with 639 points.
Individually, Taylor Mathews finished first with 165 points. See the full standings below along with some highlights from the challenge.
