Twaddle Named To Tiger Classic All-Tournament Team

Despite just four collegiate games under her belt, Murray State softball's Jessica Twaddle is already earning accolades. The freshman from Franklin, Tenn., turned in a team-high .444 batting average on opening weekend to earn 2014 Tiger Classic All-Tournament Team honors.
In her first college game against Central Arkansas on Saturday, she went 2-for-2 with a double and a triple. She also tallied hits against LSU and Oklahoma State and walked in three out of four games. On the week, Twaddle slugged .778, had an on-base percentage of .583, drove in one run and struck out only once.
Next weekend Twaddle and the rest of the Racers will travel to Woodstock, Ga., for four games in Kennesaw State's Phyllis Rafter Memorial Tournament. While in the Peach State, Murray State will take on Akron, Southeastern Louisiana, Northern Kentucky and the host Owls.
