Racers Take on TSU Big Blue Intercollegiate

RESULTS
The Murray State men's golf team competed in the first two rounds of the TSU Big Blue Intercollegiate at the President's Reserve Course at the Hermitage Golf Club in Nashville, Tenn. After 36 holes, the Racers hold steady in sixth place with team scores of 294-292=586.
Leading the field of 14 teams, UT Martin (566) holds a 2-stroke lead over Southern Illinois (568) while South Dakota sits in third place at the end of the day with a team score of 576.
After two even rounds, Jared Gosser leads the Racers with scores of 72-72=144 for 10th place. After improving in the second round, Jordan Smith finished the day in 20th place after firing rounds of 75-71=146 while Preston French fell close behind after scores of 72-75=147 for 27th place. Daniel Harper carded rounds of 75-75=150 for 42nd place while Matt Zakutney rounded out team play for the Racers in 67th palce with scores of 80-74=154.
In individual play, T.J. Ferry carded rounds of 73-74=147 to finsh the first two rounds in 27th place while Duncan McCormick had scores of 76-75=151.
Other team scores include: Belmont (581), Missouri St. (581), Alabama State (588), Trevecca Nazarene (590), Tennessee State (592), Christian Brothers (593), John A. Logan (599), Eastern Illinois (599), Morehead (613) and Creighton (613).
The third and final round of the Big Blue will begin at 8:00 a.m. central time Tuesday morning.
