Murray State volleyball head coach David Schwepker is proud to welcome Courtney Huff to the 2014 squad. The Troy, Mo. native is a recent graduate of Troy Buchanan High School where she played for Coach Lane Cox in 2012 and 2013.
Huff is a four year starter for Troy Buchanan and a two time, first team All-Conference award winner. She was also a second-team All-District selection her senior year, when she broke the Trojans career kills record.
Speaking about Huff, Coach Schwepker said, "Courtney is a very powerful hitter earning numerous awards during her high school career at Troy Buchanon High School. She plays for a very good club team, Rockwood Thunder, so she will be bringing in a lot of experience and great technical training. I also believe her personality fits extremely well with our team and that, added with her great academic background, will make an excellent addition to our program!"
Huff will add to the stable of outside hitters the Racers already deploy. MSU will be bringing back OVC All-Newcomer team member
Scottie Ingram, as well as current sophomores Taylor Olden and Emily Schmahl and current freshman Kamille Jones.
Huff was also a member of the Trojan track and basketball teams and will be studying dietetics in the fall.
