Racers Successful at Battle of the Cumberland

Results
Murray State's track team hosted the annual Battle of the Cumberland meet with OVC foes, Austin Peay and Tennessee Tech.
The Racers enjoyed a great day at Marshall Gage Track, setting numerous personal-records.
Ashley Conway kicked things off for the Racers in the long jump pit. She was one of four Racers to set outdoor PR's in the event. Conway's leap of 5.69m, 18' 8" is 1.5 inches shy of cracking the toMurray State's track team hosted the annual Battle of the Cumberland meet with OVC foes, Austin Peay and Tennessee Tech.p-10 all time at Murray State, and was the top mark at the meet. Kiara Austin (5.46m, 17' 11"), Lauren Miller (4.99m, 16' 4.5") and Jill Jachino (4.94m, 16' 2.5") also all sets outdoor personal bests.
MSU also won all three throwing events. Tonia Pratt finished first in the shot put (14.35m 47' 1") and had a season-best throw in the discus at 44.61m, 146' 4". Lexy Schleper also took first place, setting a personal best in the hammer throw with a winning toss of 40.18m (131' 10").
On the track, Emma Gilmore and Brittany Bohn took first place in the 800m and 1500m runs respectively. Gilmore finished in 2:15.48 in the 800 for the win. Raeven Wilson set a personal-best in the event, finishing in third place in 2:20.56.
Bohn, coming off running the third fastest time in MSU history in the 1500m run last weekend, took first place in 4:41.98.
The Racers will get their final tune-up before the OVC meet this weekend, April 25-26, at the Arkansas State Red Wolves Open in State University, Ark.
