Softball Hosts MSU Best Buddies

The Murray State softball team hosted the university's Best Buddies chapter Friday at Racer Field.
The afternoon featured members of the team helping the Best Buddies learn how to field, throw and hit. Several stations featuring different aspects of the game were set up all over the field and participants could try their hand at each, while getting instruction from the student-athletes.
"This was an awesome opportunity for our student-athletes to use their talents to give back to such a wonderful organization and great group of people," said head coach Kara Amundson. "No matter who you are it is important to give of your time and talents to help others. When our student-athletes leave Murray State, we want them to not only be successful at whatever they choose to do, but we want them to be good stewards of their communities."
