Racer Golf Academic Success Recognized

Four Murray State student-athletes have been honored as All-American Scholars by the Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA).

The Racer foursome includes: Sophie Hillier (Sandy, England), Delaney Howson (Newmarket, Ontario), Sydney Trimble (Paducah, Ky.) and Jacklyn Van Meter (Bowling Green, Ky.). Howson, MSU's 15^th Capital One Academic All-America, graduated in May. Hiller is a junior this fall with Trimble and Van Meter moving to sophomore status.

There were 20 student-athletes across the Ohio Valley Conference that was cited by the WGCA. The Racers and Eastern Kentucky were tied for the conference lead each with four selections.

The All-American Scholar Team is made up of student-athletes who have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.50 and play in at least 60 percent of the matches for the season.

The WGCA named 664 women's golfers across the three divisions of the NCAA.
