Jordan Smith Named OVC Golfer Of The Week

Murray State men's golf student-athlete Jordan Smith was named the Ohio Valley Conference Golfer of the Week as announced by the league office in Brentwood, Tenn.
Smith, from Murray, is a senior having a great fall season with two top-5 finishes at the start.
He had scores of 68-69-69 for a 7-under-par total of 206 this week to finish third at MSU's fall event at Miller Memorial Golf Course. Smith was part of the MSU Invitational All-Tournament Team with his play. He also turned in a fourth place finish two weeks ago at the season opening event in Edwardsville, Ill.
He ranks third in the OVC with a scoring average of 70.2. His play has been helped along by three eagles in the six rounds he has played.
Smith is also showing up in the national golf rankings. In statistics compiled by Golf Stat, he is 62nd in the nation among all NCAA D-I players and 16th in Region-C. In scoring average, Smith is 47th in the country and eighth in the region. His threeÂ
