Donate To Hoops For Heroes Thursday At The Bank

OVC Hoops For Heroes
The Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) at Murray State University is hosting their annual Hoops for Heroes fundraising event at the Racer basketball game Thursday.
The Racers host the Eastern Kentucky Colonels at 8 p.m. in a televised game on ESPN.
Hoops for Heroes is an enterprise founded by the Ohio Valley Conference and SAAC members from the league's members to give back to military families in OVC cities. SAAC organizations at each OVC school raise money so that at least one service man or woman and his/her family can attend the OVC Basketball Championships in Nashville. The money raised helps give the military family an all-expenses paid trip to the tournament in March.
Murray State's SAAC invites everyone to attend their Dollar Challenge Night to support Hoops for Heroes. SAAC is challenging every Racer fan to make a $1 donation at Thursday night's game at the CFSB Center. Student athletes will be collecting donations at the entrance gates and in the stands throughout the game.
In 2014, 20 military families enjoyed the OVC Tournament thanks to the efforts of fans and SAAC groups from OVC member schools.
The Murray State Athletics Department and SAAC look forward to seeing you Thursday when the Racers host SEMO.
