Reagan Field Improvements Continue

The improvements to the home of Murray State Baseball continued this week with the demolition of the old press box at Johnny Reagan Field in Murray, Ky.
The old press box had been in use since the field was built in 1988.
Once all of the debris is removed, construction on the new press box will begin.

The new press box is the next step in the planned improvements which includes lights. The lights were set in the last two weeks and will be operational soon. An announcement will be made later on when the Racers will play their first night game at Reagan Field.

Reagan Field also saw the addition of chair back and bleacher seating a year ago.
The Racers open up the first season under Head Coach Kevin Moulder (Feb. 13-15) when they travel to Hattiesburg, Miss., to play Southern Mississippi. MSU's home opener is against Harris-Stowe (Feb. 17).
2015 is the 26th season of baseball for the current Reagan Field. It was relocated from Chestnut Street in 1989 to where it is today between the CFSB Center and Roy Stewart Stadium. Johnny Reagan, a legend in college baseball, coached MSU to 776 wins and 11 Ohio Valley Conference championships in 36 seasons.
