Reuter Returns First Pitch Dinner

Racer baseball head coach Kevin Moulder and Murray State athletics want you to come to The First Pitch Dinner on Thursday, Jan. 29. This special event will be held in the Murray Room of the CFSB Center from 5:30-7:30 p.m. The evening includes a pre-game social, dinner, silent auction, and a special guest speaker.Â
Moulder and his staff invite you to this special evening to hear from first-hand on the progress of the program and from special guest speaker, Kirk Rueter. Moulder was named the eighth head baseball coach this summer, and recently signed 15 new student-athletes for the 2015-16 season.
Rueter played at Murray State from 1989-1991, and is a part of the Murray State Hall of Fame. He played professional baseball for 13 seasons, first with the Montreal Expos for three season and10 with the San Francisco Giants. Rueter racked up 105 wins with his 10 seasons with the Giants which made him the most successful left handed pitcher in franchise history. His 11 wins in a single season at Murray State continues to be the record for most wins in a single season, while his 20 career wins at MSU ranks fourth all time.
The cost is $35 per person or a table of eight for $250 which includes a pre-game social, dinner, and if needed one general admission ticket to the men's basketball game that evening against Eastern Kentucky. All tickets must be purchased in advance by calling the ticket office at 270-809-3000.
