Folke Leads MSU At MTSU Event

The Murray State women's golf team wasn't able to complete 36 holes Monday at the Blue Raider Invitational in Murfreesboro, Tenn., after darkness halted second round play at the Old Fort Golf Club.
Tuesday morning at 7:30 a.m., the field of 17 teams goes back to the course to complete round two and then begin the final round shortly after.
Using scores from the first round only, the Racers fired a 313 and had a spot in fifth place and bested all but one of the six schools in the event from the Ohio Valley Conference. Host Middle Tennessee was the leader at 298, while Troy (306), Tennessee Tech (309) and Western Kentucky (310) made up the top-4.
Racer sophomore Moa Folke led the way for the Racers with a spot in seventh place after a 75, while Abbie Stamper had a spot in 23rd place after a 78. Sophie Hiller and Sydney Trimble each carded an 80 and were in 36th place. Jane Watts had an 86 and was in 80th place.
Anna Moore is playing as an individual for the Racers and fired an 83 for a spot in 64th place.
After the Racers in fifth place, the rest of the top-10 included: Eastern Michigan (315), Little Rock, Arkansas State and Central Arkansas all at 317 and Boston College at 318. UTEP and UMKC held 11th place at 320, as Austin Peay (322), Jacksonville State (322), South Alabama (325), Rio Grande (335) and Belmont (341) made up the rest of the field.
The Old Fort Golf Club is playing to a par of 72 and 6,369 yards.
