The Murray State men's golf team starts Tuesday's final round with a share of the lead at the UTM Skyhawk Fall Classic at Paris landing State Park in Buchanan, Tenn.
The Racers are tied with Alabama State in the field of 11 teams. Murray State had rounds of 287-276=563, while the Hornets carded scores of 284-279=563. Host UT Martin was in third place at 568.
Brock Simmons led the Racers with a spot in second place with rounds of 70-66=136. Other MSU scores included Matthew Zakutney in fourth place with scores of 72-67=139, while Jared Gosser was in seven place after rounds of 72-71=143. Duncan McCormick had scores of 73-72=145 for a spot in 10th place. Preston French was in 28th place after scores of 74-76=150.
Lance Davis was in third place among the 18th individuals in the field after scores of 76-71=147. Gabe Wheeler was in 17th place with rounds of 73-75=148. Daniel Taylor had a spot in 42nd place with scores of 79-74=153, while Nick Choate was in 44th place with rounds of 77-77=154.
Tuesday's final round begins at 8:30 a.m.
The course at Paris Landing is playing to a Par-72 and 6,685 yards.
Paris Landing is one of the signature courses of the Tennessee State Park system and is part of the Tennessee Golf Trail.
