Watts Paces Racers At Cincinnati

The Murray State women's golf squad began play Monday at the UC Bearcats Fall Classic at TPC River's Bend in Maineville, Ohio.
At the end of 36 holes, freshman Jane Watts leads the way with a spot in sixth place on scores of 75-77=152. Watts is playing the event as an individual for the Racers and will start Tuesday's final round 10 shots off the lead. Watts was leader of the 10 individuals in the field.
The Racers carded scores of 319-309=628 and have a spot in fifth place, ahead of Ball State (641), Northern Kentucky (653) and Dayton (662).
Sophie Hillier had a spot in 14th place with rounds of 79-76=155, while Abbie Stamper and Sydney Trimble had a share of 21st place. Stamper had scores of 82-77=159 and Trimble 79-80=159. Moa Folke had scores of 79-81=160 and was in 26th place and Anna Moore had a spot in 29th place with scores of 86-76=162.
MSU's Jacklyn Van Meter was also in 29th place as she plays as an individual. She had scores of 79-83=162.
Host Cincinnati is the leader with a 600, ahead of Eastern Kentucky (609), Louisville (611) and Western Kentucky (614).
The medalist leader after 36 holes is Louisville's Ellen Kehoe with scores of 71-71=142.
TPC at River's Bend is playing 6,186 yards to a par of 72.
Tuesday's final round begins 7:30 a.m. CT.
