Racer Soccer to Face Ole Miss in Opening Round

The Murray State women's soccer team will travel to Oxford, Mississippi to take on Ole Miss in the first round of the 2015 Division I NCAA Women's Soccer Championship, the governing body announced Monday. Match time is set for Friday, Nov. 13 at 7:30 p.m.
The Racers defeated Southeast Missouri in a thrilling 1-0 overtime victory Sunday to clinch the OVC Tournament Title and secure the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Championship. A goal by Taylor Richerson in the 100th minute gave MSU the victory and sent the Racers to the NCAA tournament for the first time since 2009. The Racers were defeated that year, 2-0, in the opening round that year by Virginia Tech.
Ole Miss will be the third Southeastern conference opponent the Racers will face this season. MSU is 1-1 against SEC opponents with the win coming against Mississippi State in the season opener.
