Racer Soccer to Host NCAA Watch Party

Murray State will be hosting a watch party at 3:30 p.m. Monday in the Murray Room, located inside the CFSB Center, for the women's soccer team as they find out who they will play in the first round of the 2015 NCAA Division I Women's Soccer Championship.
The Racers defeated Southeast Missouri in a thrilling 1-0 overtime victory Sunday to clinch the OVC Tournament Title and secure the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Championship. A goal by Taylor Richerson in the 100th minute gave MSU the victory and sent the Racers to the NCAA tournament for the first time since 2009. The Racers were defeated that year, 2-0, in the opening round that year by Virginia Tech.
The show, which will be broadcast live on NCAA.com, will unveil this year's field of 64 teams that have been selected for the championship. The first round of the tournament will take place at 32 non-predetermined campus sites on either Nov. 13, 14 or 15.
Monday's event is open to the public and food and drinks will be available.
