The Murray State baseball team recently completed its fall challenge. The Racers broke down into four separate teams (Gold, Gray, Navy and White) and competed in a different challenge for five straight days. An individual challenge was held each day as well.
On the first day, Brandon Hicks won the treading water challenge and the Gold Team won the 60-lap relay race. Day two's sled pull was won by Matthew Dudas and the tire flip crown was taken by the White Team. Two individual challenges took place on day three as Ryan Dills won the pull up competition and Jack Hranec took first in "the grip". The White Team won the rope hang to take team honors on the day.
Day four's individual crown went to Kip Moore in the stadium sandbag relay while the White took home their third title in the stadium snake relay. Adam Bauer had the best time in the obstacle course on the final day of the challenge and the Gold squad won the tug-of-war competition.
Hranec finished with most points overall to win the individual overall crown with 172 and the White Team, led by team captain Brad Boegel won the overall team title with 190 points. Members of Boegel's winning team were Sheldon Baxter, Aaron Bence, Chad Gendron, Brandon Gutzler, Hranec, Matthew Johnson, Paul Miller and Austin Shallcross.
