Racers Tee It Up At Nichols Intercollegiate

The Murray State women's golf had a spot in sixth place after the first day of the Bobby Nichols Intercollegiate in Sevierville, Tenn.

Abbi Stamper led the Racers with a score of 78 and had a spot in 15^th place. Sydney Trimble and Jacklyn Van Meter shared 15^th place each with a 78 in round one. Moa Folke and Sophie Hillier shared 30^th place with an 82.

The Racers carded a 318 in round one and trailed fifth place Indiana State (316) and fourth place and host Tennessee Tech (315). Belmont was the round one leader at 295, ahead of Eastern Kentucky (309) and Jacksonville State (312).

The Racers have two players in the event as individuals. Gina Nuzzo had the low round of the day for MSU with a 76 and was in ninth place, while Minta Yin was in 19^th place with a 79.

The medalist leader is Belmont's Sydney Hudson with a 71.

The final round is Tuesday morning at the Sevierville Country Club.
