Van Meter Named OVC Golfer Of The Week

Murray State's Jacklyn Van Meter was named Ohio Valley Conference Golfer of the week as announced by the league office in Brentwood, Tenn.
Van Meter, a sophomore from Bowling Green, Ky., earned her second Golfer of the Week award in the last three weeks after placing sixth in a field of 101 players at the Ocala Spring Invitational held at the Juliette Falls Golf Resort in Dunnellon, Florida.
She carded rounds of 75-76-71 to finish at 222 (+6) and help her Racers team to a third-place finish out of 18 squads. Van Meter's round of 71 on Tuesday marked her career low. She currently ranks sixth in the OVC in stroke average (76.3).
The Racers' next challenge is the Ole Miss Rebel Invitational (April 3-5) in Oxford, Miss.
