Groves Announces Annual Summer Camps

Murray State head women's soccer coach Jeremy Groves announced his annual summer camps this week. There are seven different camps that girls and boys age 5-18 can enjoy, starting with a day camp June 1-June 5.
"I am proud and excited to introduce our summer camp program for 2015," said groves. "Our coaching staff has worked hard to put together a quality summer soccer curriculum for all ages and abilities.The coaching staff and I have a deep passion for teaching the game of soccer, which shows in the positive environment that we create. We believe that this positive environment will maximize attendees development as a soccer player. We will use the same technical and tactical methods that have given us success over the years. All sessions will be on campus at Murray State University on the beautiful Bermuda grass field in the heart of campus.
There are two summer day camps for boys and girls age 5-13 where they will learn the technical and tactical aspects of soccer in a fun environment. The dates for this year's summer day camps are either June 1-5 or July 20-July 24.
There will also be three summer ID camps aimed at high school girls aged 13-18. This camp is geared towards girls that want to further their career and look to play in college. They will be trained and tested in all soccer abilities including an advanced look on how to get recruited and become a collegiate student-athlete. The three summer ID camps will take place June 20, June 28 and July 18.
In addition, Groves will host one junior ID camp for girls ages 9-14, which want to further their career and play in college. The junior ID camp will involve similar aspects of the summer ID camp, but aimed specifically for girls not yet in high school. This one-day only event will take place June 27.
The final camp will be a team camp for girls of ages 12-18 will run July 10-14 and is designed for club and high school teams of 15 players or more. This camp will give players an opportunity to train and play while getting ready for their respective upcoming seasons.
