Rifle To Host Full Slate of Open Matches

The Murray State rifle team has announced that it will be hosting seven open matches during the 2015-16 school year. Information for the matches is below.

WHERE:Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Pat Spurgin Rifle Range, Roy Stewart Stadium,
                               Murray State University, Murray KY
Â
FACILITIES:Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Smallbore and Air Rifle Range: Sixteen electronic firing points with remote adjustable target frames.
                             In Stewart Stadium the weight room is below the rifle range. Every effort is made to hold matches when teams are not working out, but to host a full schedule of open matches this may not be possible. If teams are lifting, there will be vibrations and you will hear the music. We train this way every weekday.

RELAYS:Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Prep / Sighter Period will start at 09:00, on the range at 08:30.

COURSE OF FIRE:Â One NCAA half course smallbore (3 x 20) and one NCAA Air Rifle Match
                                              (60 Shots) will be fired and counted for individual score.Â

RULES:Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â The current USA Shooting Rifle Rules will govern.
Â
TARGETS:Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Megalink Electronic Scoring System will be used with current NCAA Target specifications.

COMPETITION:Â Â Â Â Â This is an open event.
                      Â
COACHING: Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Coaching on the firing line is not permitted.

ENTRIES:Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Space is first come first served. Relays will be filled before more added.
                                   $30.00 per shooter.  You can pay match fee due on arrival. Do not send early.  Â
