Racers Having Successful Summer Seasons

Multiple Racer baseball players are having successful summer seasons with their respective summer teams, including two All-Star Game selections in catcher Tyler Lawrence and pitcher Cody Maerz.
Lawrence, who was named the All-Star Game MVP and won the home run derby in the Texas Collegiate League, is second in the TCL with a .366 batting average. Lawrence has collected nine doubles and hit a home run during the summer, and has also drawn 16 walks, scored 23 runs and has 10 RBIs.
Maerz's 1.33 ERA ranks sixth in the Prospect League and he has a 2-1 record and 17 strikeouts in 33.2 innings of work.
Three other Racers are also playing in the Prospect League. Tyler Anderson and Andrew Bramley play with Maerz for the Jamestown Jammers. Anderson has pitched 9.2 innings and has recorded a pair of saves and has struck-out 17 batters. Anderson has also posted a 0.93 ERA. Bramley has 1-0 mark in 18.1 innings of work and has 20 strikeouts and an ERA of 2.45.
Nick Moore rounds-out the Racers in the league, playing for the Richmond RiverRats. Moore has 10 RBIs and hit two doubles so far in the summer for Richmond.
In the Ohio Valley League, Kipp Moore is hitting .238 for the Fulton Railroaders and has scored 21 runs and drawn 25 walks to go along with seven extra-base hits and 17 RBIs.
Brandon Hicks is playing for El Dorado in the Jayhawk League. Hicks' 2.70 ERA ranks second in the league. Hicks has recorded a record of 4-0 this summer and has 21 strikeouts in 33.1 innings of duty.
Brad Boegel has made three appearances in the Northwoods League for the Madison Mallards. Boegel has six strikeouts and a victory in 5.2 innings of work for the Mallards.
