- The Murray State Women's soccer team will open the 2015 season on the road as they take on the Bulldogs of Mississippi State on Sunday.
- The Racers are 5-9-1 all time in season openers and 3-5-1 when opening the season on the road. The last season opening win for MSU came in 2013 when Murray State beat Evansville on the road 1-0.
- MSU played an exhibition match Saturday against Troy where the Racers were shutout by the Trojans 3-0. Murray State kept it close with Troy in the first half. A strong effort by goal keeper Shelby Haworth kept the match scoreless heading into halftime. However, the Trojans were too much for the Racers and MSU fell in its only exhibition match 3-0.
