Haworth Named OVC Goalkeeper of the Week

Shelby Haworth has been named as the adidas OVC Goalkeeper of the Week for her performances against Louisiana Tech and Middle Tennessee, the league announced Monday. This week's honor marks the first time this season and the fourth time in her career she has been named Goalkeeper of the Week by the OVC.
Haworth recorded her first shutout out of the season against Lousiana Tech on Friday and followed it up with another against Middle Tennessee Sunday.
Friday, Haworth played a key role in sending the game into overtime, where MSU eventually earned the win, by coming up with three second-half saves . Sunday, Haworth turned in another clean sheet and matched her saves total of five from Friday,
This past weekend's performance marks the third time in her MSU career, that the sophomore has recorded back-to-back shutouts, giving her nine career shutouts in a little over a season.
The Racers hope to continue their winning streak as they travel to IUPUI Sunday. Game time is scheduled for 1 p.m.
