Brock Simmons Named OVC Golfer Of The Week

The Ohio Valley Conference named Murray State's Brock Simmons as its OVC Men's Golfer of the Week.
Simmons, a senior from Murray, Ky., led the Racers to a 16-shot victory at their own MSU Invitational, and tied for medalist honors with scores of 70-71-69 for a 210 total (3-under-par). Simmons lost in a playoff, but still had his best showing in a 54-hole event in his Murray State career.
In the early going of the OVC season, Simmons is third in the league with a 70.0 scoring average.
This honor by the OVC was the first for Simmons.
Next up for MSU is the Derek Dolenk Invitational (Sept. 28-29) at Gateway National Golf Links in Madison, Ill.Â
