Racers Travel for Pitt State Invite

The Murray State track and field team travels to Pittsburg, Kansas for the Pitt State Invite on Friday.
The Racers are coming off a strong performance at the John Craft Invite where the team took home six first place awards. Tamdra Lawrence led the team by taking home first in the 60 meters preliminaries (7.69) as well as in the finals (7.64), and the 200 meters (25.53) individually. She was also a part of the distance meter relay team that also took first place with a time of 12:38. Others on the DMR team include Ali Hester, Tia Weston and Vallery Korir.
Brittany Bohn won first in the 800 with a time of 2:19. Chleo LeGrand vaulted a season best 3.34 meters (10'11.5") to take first place. Taylor McCammon won first place in the long jump as she jumped 5.20 meters (17' 0.75").
The Pitt State Invite is set to start at noon on Friday with the first event being the weight throw.
