Racers' Edwards Sitting Top-10 At Samford

The Murray State men's golf team began play with 36 holes of play at the Samford Intercollegiate in Birmingham, Alabama.
The Racers' final event of the fall season is being played at Greystone Golf and Country Club.
Avery Edwards and Matthew Zakutney led the way for MSU. Edwards had a spot in eight place after scores of 75-74=149, while Zakutney was in 15th place after rounds of 74-78=152.
Other Racer scores and places included Austin Knight in 20th place with scores of 76-78=154. Matthew Winder and Gabe Wheeler shared 29th place. Winder had scores of 83-75=158 and Wheeler posted scores of 79-79=158.
Cole Manion is playing the event as an individual and was in 28th place with rounds of 81-82=163.
The Racers and Samford (B) shared fifth place, behind fourth place Tennessee Tech (603) and Montevallo (596) in third place. UT Martin was the leader at 589, ahead of second place Samford (A) at 595.
Greystone Golf Club is playing to a par of 72 and 7,206 yards.
The final round is set for a shotgun start at 8 a.m
