Ke'Shunan James Named First Team All-OVC

Murray State's Ke'Shunan James has been named First Team All-OVC, as voted on by the league's coaches and SIDs, announced Tuesday night at the OVC's Celebration of Women's Basketball banquet Tuesday night in Nashville.
James becomes the first Racer to be named all-conference since Mariah Robinson in 2012-13. James was seventh in the league in scoring this season, averaging 16.4 points per game during conference play and 17.8 per for the season. James also ranked seventh in the league with two steals per game, 11th in assists with 3.4 a contest and 12th in rebounding, averaging 6.4 per.
The 2014-15 OVC Freshman of the Year, was 11th in the OVC shooting 42.6 percent from the field and hit 32 percent of her shots from 3-point range. James scored in double figures in 23 games this season, 13 of which came during conference play. She also had 10 games with 20 points or more on the year.
James also recorded three double-doubles during league play this season, scoring a career-high 32 points and grabbing 12 boards in MSU's league-opening win over Morehead State in January. Against UT Martin later in the month, James scored 14 points and had a career-best 13 rebounds and she had 20 points and 10 rebounds in the win against SIUE in February.
James and the rest of the Racers face top-seeded UT Martin Wednesday in the First Round of the OVC Tournament in Nashville. Tip-off is set for noon.
