Folke In Ninth Place At Citrus Challenge

Murray State's Moa Folke continued to be the top player for the Racer women's golf team at the Citrus Challenge in RedTail Golf Club in Sorrento, Florida.
Folke fired a second round 76 Monday and had a spot in ninth place among the 117 competitors in the event hosted by Morehead State. Folke had an even-par 72 in Sunday's first round and her 148 total put her only six shots off the lead of Elon's Kelsey Badmaez who had scores of 72-70=142.
The Racers dropped two spots in the team race from 10th to 12th after a 318. MSU had a 301 in the opening round and their 619 total had them in a share of 12th place with Ohio at 619.
Other Racer scores included Jacklyn Van Meter in 44th place with scores of 76-79=155, while Sydney Trimble was in 56th place with rounds of 73-84=157. Abbi Stamper was in 68th place with scores of 80-79=159, while Sophie Hiller was in 104th place with rounds of 82-84=166.
Anna Moore is playing the event as an individual for the Racers and was in 62nd place with scores of 77-81=158.
The leader after 36 holes was Elon and James Madison at 597. The top six was made up by Western Kentucky (602), Morehead State, Ball State and North Florida each at 604.
The event plays the final round Tuesday morning.
The RedTail course is playing to a par of 72 and 6,125 yards.
