Folke Claims Back-To-Back OVC Weekly Awards

Murray State's Moa Folke was named the adidas® Ohio Valley Conference Female Golfer of the Week as announced by the OVC from its headquarters in Brentwood, Tennessee.
Folke, a sophomore from Tranas, Sweden, scored her first collegiate win this week when she claimed medalist honors at the Jan Weaver Invitational held at Miller Memorial Golf Course.
She carded rounds of 75-76-72 to finish at 223 (+7) and top a field of 74 players at the Racers' home course.
Folke enters next week's OVC Championship third in the league with a 75.5 stroke average. She has recorded six rounds of par or better in the 2015-16 season.
The honor marks the third time Folke has been named OVC Golfer of the Week and in back-to-back weeks. Combined with the MSU men's team taking three honors, the Racer golf squads have won seven awards in the school year.
Others nominated for the OVC award this week were Jessica Cathey (Austin Peay), Chloe Wong (Eastern Illinois), Katie Rice (Morehead State) and Whitney Robertson (Tennessee Tech).
