Folke Carries Lead Into Ole Miss Final Round

Murray State sophomore Moa Folke carries the 36-hole lead into the final round of the Rebel Intercollegiate at the Ole Miss Golf Club in Oxford, Miss.
Folke fired a 4-under-par 68 in the second round and the Racers carded a 300 to get a spot in fifth place.
The Racers have team scores of 303-300=603 and lead sixth place Tulsa (609) and Fresno State (609). MSU trails fourth place Ole Miss (602) by one shot. The Racers are chasing leader Troy (579) and second place East Tennessee (599). Harvard (601) is in third place.
In the first two days on a tough course, Folk has carded scores of 71-68 for a 5-under-par 139. Folke has a two-shot lead on her closest competitor, Gabi Oubre of Troy who had scores of 71-70=141.
Other scores for the Racers includes Jacklyn Van Meter with a spot in 37th place with scores of 73-81=154, while Sydney Trimble has a spot in 47th place after scores of 78-78=156. Abbie Stamper is in 58th place with scores of 81-77=158 and Sophie Hillier was in 70th place after rounds of 83-77=160.
Anna Moore is playing the event for the Racers as an individual and was in 63rd place with scores of 83-76=159.
The rest of the field was made up by eighth place Memphis (613), Western Kentucky (616), Western Carolina (618), Southern Miss (619), James Madison (620), Samford (623), Yale (625) and Redlands (656).
For the 90 players in the field, the Ole Miss GC is playing to a par of 72 and 6,323 yards.
Folke goes for the win Sunday in the final round. Murray State will have Ole Miss and Tulsa as playing partners in the 9 a.m. shotgun start.Â
