Megan Blue Named to All-OVC Second Team

The Ohio Valley Conference announced the 2016 all-conference accolades on Thursday. Megan Blue won her third All-OVC Second Team award at the OVC tennis banquet on Thursday night.
The senior is the lone Racer to take home an all-conference award. Blue wins the award after going 10-13 in singles play this season as she played all matches at the No. 1 position. She recorded a 5-5 record in singles play in conference. Going into the tournament, Blue is 27-9 in OVC singles play in her four years as a Racer. She is also 45-40 in overall doubles play.
Women's tennis head coach Jorge Caetano was very pleased to have Blue receive recognition for her performance. "Megan has really stepped up this year," said Caetano. "As a senior, shes been a great leader for this team playing at the No 1 singles position. I'm very proud of her."
The sixth seeded Racers face off against the third seeded Colonels of Eastern Kentucky on Friday at the Sportsplex Tennis Center in Nashville. Match time is set for 2 p.m. and admission is free.
