Moa Folke Named OVC Co-Women's Golfer Of The Week

Murray State sophomore Moa Folke has been named the adidas® OVC Female Co-Golfer of the Week as announced by the league office in Brentwood, Tennessee.

Folke, from Tranas, Sweden gets the OVC honor for a second time this school year after she won the award Sept. 30.

She shares the OVC honor with Tennessee Tech's Allyson Dunn.

Folke carded rounds of 71-68-75 to finish at 214 (-2) and take second place in a field of 89 at the Rebel Intercollegiate held at the Ole Miss Golf Club in Oxford. She carried a 2-shot lead into Sunday's final round after posting the 68 which was her career-low round at Murray State. The Racers played well and placed eighth in the 54-hole event.

Folke currently ranks fourth in the OVC in scoring average (75.6).

The Racers host the Jan Weaver Invitational at the home of MSU Golf, Miller Memorial Golf Course, Friday and Saturday. 36 holes of play are in store for Friday and the final 18 holes will be played Saturday. An 8:30 a.m. shotgun start will be used both days.
