Lawrence Named Cape Cod League All-Star Starter

Murray State catcher Tyler Lawrence has been named an All-Star starter for the West Division of the Cape Cod League.
Lawrence is ninth in the league in batting with a .318 average and is tied for third in the CCL with four home runs to go along with 13 RBIs. In 20 games played, Lawrence has drawn 10 walks and scored nine runs while collecting 21 hits.
Lawrence, who plays for the Falmouth Commodores, will be starting at DH for the West in the famed league's July 23 event. First pitch is set for 5:05 p.m., central time and can be seen live on Fox College Sports or listened to online on WCAI National Public Radio.
This past spring, Lawrence was named First Team All-OVC after hitting .355 with eight homers and 58 RBIs while also collecting a program record 22 doubles.
