Giustino Named ADIDAS OVC Newcomer of the Week

Murray State's Rachel Giustino was named the ADIDAS OVC Newcomer of the Week for the second time this season, announced Monday by the league office.
Giustino posted double-digit kill totals in all three matches last week for the Racers and led MSU in kills in two of the three matches. In the sweep over Wright State, Giustino recorded a match-high 15 kills and hit.345. She followed that up with 13 kills against Butler. She began the week with a 10-kill effort at Southern Illinois. Giustino also led the Racers in digs with 39 and had a pair of double-doubles on the week as she had 11 digs against WSU and 19 against the Bulldogs.
This is the second time this season Giustino has been named the league's newcomer of the week. Giustino also took home the award following the first weekend of the season.
Giustino and the rest of the Racers return to action this weekend for their final non-conference tournament of the season. MSU travels to St. Louis for the Billiken Invite where the Racers will face Saint Louis, Illinois and Omaha.
