Bethea Takes Home OVC Player of the Week Honors

Bria Bethea has been named the ADIDAS OVC Co-Women's Basketball Player of the Week for her performance last week in Murray State's two games.
Bethea recorded a pair of double-doubles during the week for the Racers as she averaged 20 points and 10 rebounds while shooting 44 percent from the floor and 50 percent (8-of-16) from 3-point range. Bethea began the week with a 22-point and 10-rebound effort in the win over Eastern Illinois. She followed that up with 18 points and 10 boards at home against SIU Edwardsville. Bethea also hit four 3-pointers in both games.
It is the first career player of the week honor for Bethea and the fifth overall and second straight honor for the Racers this season. Bethea shared the honors with Belmont's Sally McCabe.
