Baseball Receiving Votes in Latest NCBWA Poll

After a 3-0 week and a 4-0 start to the season, the Murray State baseball team is receiving votes to be ranked in the latest National Collegiate Baseball Writers of America (NCBWA) top-30 poll.
The Racers opened their 2017 campaign with a pair of wins over top-40 opponents. MSU defeated No. 13 Louisiana 2-0 on Saturday and followed that up with a 3-1 victory over 36th-ranked Southeastern Louisiana Sunday. The Racers opened the year with a 5-1 victory over Hofstra and closed their opening week with a thrilling 11-8, 16-inning victory over Alcorn State Monday.
MSU is the only OVC team in this week's poll. The Racers will return to action this weekend as they host Buffalo in a three-game series beginning Friday at 3 p.m., at Reagan Field. It will be MSU's home-opening weekend.
