Racers Look For Comeback - Surendran Moves To 6th

The Murray State women's golf team slipped back to third place after the second round of the John Kirk Panther Intercollegiate at Eagle's Landing Country Club in Stockbridge, Georgia.
After taking first place by one shot on a score of 293 after Sunday's opening round, the Racers slipped to five shots off the lead after a second round 302. The Racers (293-302=595) begin Tuesday's final round five shots off the lead of Eastern Kentucky (590). Kansas State was second at 591.
MSU won't have to search the teams they have to catch in Tuesday's final round, they'll be paired with EKU and KSU.
The Racers have a pair of players with a share of sixth place through 36 holes. Anna Moore leads the way with scored of 71-76=147, while freshman Raeysha Surendran is in the event as an individual and carded scores of 74-73=147. Other Murray State scores included Lucila Puente Rodriguez de Austria in 10th place after scores of 73-75=148. Moa Folke and Linette Holmslykke each had a share of 16th place. Folke posted rounds of 76-74=150 and Holmslykke had scores of 73-77=150. Jane Watts was in 61st place after rounds of 82-78=160.

Moa Folke pulled into third place among in the field for par-3 scoring at 3.0 strokes per hole.
Lucila Puente Rodriguez de Austria is third in par-4 scoring at 4.1.
Anna Moore is third in the field with eight birdies.
