Folke & Holmslykke Named OVC Co-Golfer Of the Week

Murray State women's golf was honored when Moa Folke and Linette Holmslykke were named the adidas® Ohio Valley Conference Female Co-Golfers of the Week as announced by the league office in Brentwood, Tennessee.The junior/sophomore tandem led the Racers to the championship of the Jan Weaver Invitational held at the Racers' home course, Miller Memorial Golf Course. The win was MSU's fifth of the 2016-17 season and it matched the program record that was set in 2013-14.
Folke, From Tranas, Sweden, carded scores of 75-73-74 while Holmslykke, a sophomore from Vejle, Denmark, fired rounds of 73-76-73. Each had a 222 (+6) and topped the field of 63 competitors. Folke currently ranks second in the OVC in stroke average (74.0) while Holmslykke is fifth (74.5).
The win was MSU's third straight as they head into Monday's OVC Championship in Owens Cross Roads, Alabama at Hampton Cove.
