Perfect Performance Earns Robinson OVC Honors

A perfect game against Belmont helped propel senior Mason Robinson to her second adidas® OVC Pitcher of the Week Honor of the 2017 season, the league announced Monday.
Robinson retired all 18 batters she faced in the 8-0 win over Belmont, recording the first perfect game in the history of Murray State softball. In addition to not got giving up any runs, hits or walks, the senior struck out one and assisted in five putouts in the field. In MSU's midweek game against Memphis, the senior gave up no runs on two hits with one walk and two strikeouts over the first three innings of play.
The win Sunday also gave Robinson 20 wins on the season, tying her with CheyAnne Gaskey for most wins in a season by a MSU pitcher. Her no-hitter was the first of her career and the third in Murray State history.
In addition to the being Robinson's second OVC honor this season, Monday's award was the sixth of her career.
