Murray State head football coach Mitch Stewart has announced the addition of Brian Hamilton to his staff as the coach of the offensive lineman.

"Brian is a big get for us," said Stewart. "He is a great coach who brings a wealth of experience to our program. He has actually come up with some of the schemes we already run and others we hope to install. I truly believe that Coach Hamilton's vast knowledge as an offensive line coach will help improve our offense immediately."

Hamilton comes to Murray State after spending the past three seasons as the offensive quality control coach at Cal. While at Cal, Hamilton worked with highly successful Cal quarterbacks Davis Webb and Jared Goff.

Prior to his time with the Golden Bears, Hamilton spent 11 seasons as the head coach of Concord High School in California. As head coach, Hamilton led the Minutemen to three North Coast Section title game appearances and a championship in 2010. In 11 seasons at Concord, Hamilton amassed a career record of 81-49-1, including an impressive 68-21-1 mark in his final seven seasons.

Hamilton is a 2000 graduate of SUNY Cortland where he played two season. Prior to becoming a Red Dragon, the Concord, California native began his collegiate playing career at Pasadena City College.
