John A. Logan transfer Grace Vaughn will join the Murray State softball team to round out the Racers' 2018 recruiting class, head coach Kara Amundson announced Friday.
Vaughn was 7-3 in 20 appearances for the Vols over the past two seasons. During that time she struck out 52 batters while walking just 25 for a strikeout-to-walk ratio of 2:1. The Herod, Illinois native is a product of Hardin County High School.
Including Vaughn, Amundson will now have nine new Racers suit up for MSU in the spring. Logan Braundmeier, Macey Hale, Sierra Gilmore, Jensen Striegel, Olivia Suski and Danielle Walls all signed with the Racers in November, while Maddie DeMorato and Lillie Goetz joined the roster over the summer.
