Adebayo Named Newcomer Of The Week

Murray State forward Evelyn Adebayo was named as the OVC Newcomer of the Week, the league announced Tuesday. Adebayo's honor marked the second time in as many weeks that the Racers received a weekly awards.
The transfer came just short of her third straight double-double last week at Butler, but still ended the game with team-highs of 15 points and nine rebounds in addition to three assists and a steal. Through the first three games of the season, Adebayo leads the Racers with 17.0 points per game and 10.7 rebounds.
Adebayo and her teammates return to action Tuesday at home when they take on Lipscomb at 6 p.m.
