Racers Get NCAA Assignment - To Meet Vanderbilt

The Murray State Racers learned of their NCAA Women's Soccer Tournament assignment Monday when they were paired with the Vanderbilt Commodores in the opening round Saturday. The Match is set to begin at 7 p.m. at Vandy's Soccer/Lacrosse Complex.

The Racers (13-4-1) earned an automatic spot in the NCAAs for the second consecutive year when they won the Ohio Valley Conference Tournament title Sunday with a 2-1 win at UT Martin.

Murray State is making their fourth appearance in the NCAA Tournament and for a back-to-back season after they won the OVC title in 2017 and played Tennessee in the opening round. The Racers' first NCAA appearance was in 2009 when they played at Virginia Tech. MSU also made an appearance in 2015 and took on Ole Miss. The Racers are looking for their first win in the event.
