Murray State head baseball coach Kevin Moulder has announced the hiring of assistant coach Cole Brocker to the Racers' coaching staff. Brocker will primarily work with the pitching staff.
"I am excited to get Coach Brocker on board with our program," said Moulder.
"The timing of things was a bit interesting and it came at us fast, but I feel extremely fortunate to land someone with his background and experience. Coach Brocker has a wealth of knowledge and has competed at the highest levels in baseball, both collegiately and professionally. He will be a great resource for our pitchers and I feel great about the program and track record we have established for our pitchers in terms of development and am excited for Coach Brocker to continue us down that path and take it to another level."
Brocker graduated from Oregon State in 2013 with a degree in psychology. Before his time with the Beavers, Brocker spent two seasons (2010-11) at Sacramento City College. Post-graduation, Brocker spent the 2014 and 2015 seasons in the Atlanta Braves organization before spending 2016 and 2017 within the Chicago Cubs' organization.
