Racers Earn Easton/NFCA Top-10 Academic Team Honors

Murray State softball has been named an Easton/NFCA Top-10 academic team for the 2018-19 school year, as released by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association on Wednesday.
The Racers, who earned a 3.612 GPA, finished ninth across NCAA Division I institutions. Contributing to the outstanding academic feat, 13 members of the 2018-19 roster earned the distinction of Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete, the second-most in program history. To earn the title of Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete, a student-athlete must achieve a 3.5 GPA or higher for the academic year.

The following members of the 2018-19 roster have been recognized: Ellison Barrett, Kristen Bialek, Logan Braundmeier, Hannah James, Lexi Jones, Leah Kesel, Abby Shoulders, Carly St. George, Jensen Striegel, Olivia Suski, Amber Van Duyse, Grace Vaughn, and Danielle Walls.
