Calloway County’s Settle Inks With Racer

Local product Charlee Settle of Calloway County High School chose to stay close to home Wednesday when she became the second member of Murray State head women's basketball coach Rechelle Turner's 2020-21 signing class.
"Charlee brings great offensive talent to the forward position," said Turner. "She can stretch defenses from the perimeter and she also has the ability to attack the basket and score at rim level. Charlee has been prolific on the offensive glass during her prep career and we look forward to her adding second-chance points to our offense at Murray State. Charlee's best basketball is ahead of her and I am excited to see just how good she can be. We are excited to have Charlee join our Racer family."
Settle, a 6-1 guard/forward from Murray, is a four-time Paducah Sun All-Purchase Team selection and is the reigning Paducah Sun All-Purchase Player of the Year. In addition, she has notched two All-District and one All-Region honor in her career.
Heading into her senior year, Settle currently has 2,147 points and 1,297 rebounds over four seasons with the Lakers. She averaged 24.5 points per game and 13.5 rebounds per game as a sophomore, while averaging 23.2 points and 11.0 rebounds per game as a junior.
